About us

Team

Our team consists of embedded hardware and software engineers, as well as geodetic engineers, specialized in IoT (Internet of Things). Our geodetic engineers have expertise in GPS measurements, with specializations in ‘Real Time Kinematic’ and ‘Post Processing Kinematic’.

"My grandfather had a fascination for what moves this earth from his time at the KNMI. With my degrees in Geodesy/Geo-Information Science and Physical Geography, I have unconsciously inherited this passion in my genes.

After my studies, I gained a variety of experiences in measurement-related environmental impacts in infrastructure projects at different engineering firms. The IoT industry offers numerous new opportunities in environmental monitoring, which has intrigued me greatly over the past few years.

Throughout my career, I've discovered that innovative entrepreneurship is an important driving force for me to get things done. To respond more swiftly to the innovative challenges in the geodetic market, I started establishing DeltaIoT in the summer of 2020."

"I completed a master's degree in Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft, graduating with a thesis on a laser communication terminal for small satellites.

As a freelance electronics and embedded engineer, I develop devices, controllers, and sensors for my clients. This varies widely: from wearable measuring instruments for offshore use, to smart locks, to 3D scanners for robots.

For DeltaIoT, I am responsible for the development of electronics in the DeltaCube, including the sensors, antennas, and GNSS reception. I also oversee the housing design using plastic injection molding and laser-cut steel. Furthermore, I manage the production of all the different components of the DeltaCube."

Daniël Bakker

"With an MSc in Aerospace Engineering and my thesis on machine learning, combined with numerous interests, I have developed myself into a broad problem solver.

I have experience in data collection, analysis, and visualization platforms. I developed operating systems for edge devices in previous projects, allowing me to be involved in nearly the entire trajectory of the DeltaCube.

I developed the operating system for the DeltaCube and am responsible for the algorithms and platforms for collecting and transmitting the data, as well as receiving it on our server. The GNSS data processing and the visualization of these results on our own dashboard are also part of my work."

"At DeltaIoT, I deal with various technical and operational matters. This includes the production process, commissioning, maintenance, and support of the DeltaCube devices. Additionally, I contribute to new developments and guide the development process.

With my background in electrical engineering, I have experienced these facets separately at various employers. Now, I will combine them all at DeltaIoT."

Since October 1, 2024, I have been working at DeltaIoT.

After holding various positions in both internal and external roles, I have now found my place at DeltaIoT. In my role as a project manager, I deal with a variety of tasks – exactly the diversity I have always been looking for. I look forward to continuing to contribute and growing further within the team.

Jelle van Zuijdam
Project Manager

As a Product Owner, I am responsible for managing the development of the DeltaCube and its corresponding software ecosystem. I also contribute to the strategic and commercial development of the company.

With an Engineering Doctorate in Software Technology and a Master’s degree in Computer Science, I have over five years of experience in roles such as Software Engineer, Design Engineer, and Data Scientist. As a data scientist, my experience spans analyzing customer behaviors, patient records, and sensor data. Currently, I’m excited to be exploring geospatial data analytics, expanding my expertise into the dynamic field of geodata.

At DeltaIoT, I work as a full-stack Software Engineer, responsible for the  design and development of software components in the DeltaCube platform.
