N217 provincialeweg, Zuid-Holland.
On the N217 Provincialeweg in Zuid-Holland, self-sustaining DeltaCubes are deployed for traffic measurements.
In 2023 and 2024, the Heinenoordtunnel in Barendrecht will undergo renovation by Rijkswaterstaat. During this period, traffic will be redirected, including through N217 using the Kiltunnel. In 2022, the Province of South Holland made several adjustments to this road to increase traffic capacity.
On the N217 Maasdamseweg/Polderweg section in Maasdam, DeltaIoT, in collaboration with Mourik Infra, provided stakeout measurements on behalf of the Province of South Holland.
These measurements were conducted using our DeltaCubes. Each DeltaCube is equipped with electronics, a transceiver module, a battery, and solar cells, making it fully self-sustaining and autonomous. On this route, there were 18 of these stakeout markers and a base station.
